What is Jolly Phonics?
Jolly Phonics is a learning technique fully endorsed by all local primary schools. It gives the children a wonderful introduction to learning the alphabet using song, sign & visual recognition of letters
‘Jolly Phonics’ continues in this room, ensuring that on entering primary school, all Greenfields children will be fully literate, having benefitted from such an early learning head start.
In the Big Room each child has an allocated key worker. The progress of each child is monitored using a ‘child development record’. This is updated regularly & provides an effective insight into your child’s progress.
Parents are free to look at these at any time, & to discuss any concerns with the individual key workers.
During term time we offer sessions for children on both the universal 15 hours and the extended 30 hours funding. Details for parents on how to apply for the extended 30 hours can be found at www.childcarechoices.gov.uk Details of our funded sessions can be found in our prospectus, or contact us on 01608 663672.
